I DID IT!!!!

Another Goal Bites the Dust.

With Lola as my witness on Thursday night I stepped on the ol' bathroom scale and looked down to see a wonderous thing...

238!!

Oh baby, I think this my first time below 240 in seven years, at least. I am thinking it is more like since the third year of University but I do not know for sure.

So that is very exciting.

Other exciting news for me is that people have been dropping out of the Work version of the Biggest Loser like hot cakes so I stand a really good chance to win that. I just have to make sure that I manage my eating over the next few weeks but I did allow myself to go crazy from Christmas Eve until the end of Christmas Day.

Hey, a boy has to live.

The Countdown is On...

With now less than a week until the big weigh in and the Festivus goal of under 240 things are going to be tight. I am right there. I am sitting on 240 so I am a little worried that my body will do one of the those fun, and much talked about hiccups, and decide that this is the week to add a little weight.

You know, those ebbs and flows of weight loss.

So for this week I am going to go back to posting everything I do and everything I eat. Back to posting all the exercise and all the calories. Just something to keep me focused this week. I am very optimistic and this is a huge goal for me.

240 has been that impassable weight. My nemesis! Lex Luther to my Superman. Cogswell Cogs to my Spacely Space Sprockets. Mr. Belding to my Zack Morris.

It is going to be an interesting week.

The Totals are In...

I had a pretty solid month. My eating was hot and cold but I accomplished a couple of goals.

Goal: Distance for the Month: 75 Km

Result: I was pretty solid on the treadmill all month and came in at 87.5 Km of treadmill only running. I did a couple days outdoors which I did not count towards this total.

I was pretty happy with my total here and look for most months to be around the same and more as I train for the Sun Run and the Half Marathon. December will have a some special goals because of the holidays. I will post them as I commit to them.

Goal: Do 5 km in under 30:00

Result: I pounded out a solid run last week knowing this goal was due and through down a 29:42. Just under the goal, but still reached the goal so I am happy.

Goal: Do the energy trail in less than 30:00

Result: I made it out the day before it started snowing to try and beat this. I also found the floating bridge to be damaged and that also slowed progress a bit. Regardless I did come up a little short running out a total of 30:58. So this goal will stay on the charts, although I may not get to try again till the New Year because of the trail conditions.

This leaves the big goal of under 240 by Festivus looming large over my head. I have two weeks to really push myself. It is realistic. I tips the scales at 241 on Saturday so just a couple pounds to go.

Go Duncan Go!!
